ATBEF strengthens the capacities of media actors to combat clandestine abortions in Togo.
As part of the EmpowHer project, funded by Global Affairs Canada, ATBEF is organizing a training workshop from August 11 to 14, 2025, at the Kara Congress Palace, bringing together 25 journalists, male and female media professionals, and influencers. The objective is to equip them and, in doing so, enable them to create and share positive narratives on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), in order to raise awareness and effectively combat unsafe abortions, which cause numerous complications and deaths. Through a values clarification approach, participants are encouraged to engage in constructive dialogue and urge decision-makers to improve access to SRH services. This initiative aims to break taboos, promote accurate information, and support informed choices to sustainably reduce the risks associated with clandestine practices.
ATBEF, for a better life !
