Importance of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE)
Mr. Joel Eklou, the Communication and Resource Mobilization Manager in our Member Association in Togo -The Association Togolaise pour le Bien-Etre Familial (ATBEF) Atbef-Ippf has this afternoon delivered a powerful presentation on the importance of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).
"CSE is an important factor in enabling young people to realize their rights, by challenging and changing social norms, by empowering them, and even more importantly, allowing them to make informed choices about their reproductive health. It is also imperative for CSE initiatives to involve parents, teachers and other influencers in the lives of young people, for more effective gains," he said.
Mr. Eklou made his presentation on the argument for CSE to among others, African journalists -members of the IPPF African Journalists Network, during the Network's regional induction meeting taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.
IPPFAR, through its Member Associations, works with a network of journalists to increase the visibility of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issues in sub-Saharan Africa.
